Privacy Policy

1. The Short Version

Everything you enter into the app — your food log, nutrition targets, health conditions, body statistics — stays on your device. We never see it.

The only data that reaches our analytics service is: your country, a randomly generated device ID (assigned by Amplitude, not linked to you personally), and anonymous app usage events. No health data, no food data, no personal identifiers.

2. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Your food log or meal history
• Your health conditions
• Your body statistics (height, weight, age, etc.)
• Your nutrition targets or daily metrics
• Your precise location or IP address (country is derived from IP at the moment of the event; the IP itself is not stored)
• Any hardware identifiers such as IMEI or MAC address
• Any data from Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect

3. What Stays on Your Device

All of the following is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Food log entries and meal history
• Nutrition targets and daily metrics
• Health condition information you choose to enter
• Body statistics
• All calculated results

If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. We have no copy and no way to recover it for you.

Resetting or uninstalling the app also resets the Amplitude device ID — no persistent link to your prior usage is retained.

4. What We Do Collect — Analytics Data

We collect limited analytics data to understand how the app is used and to improve it. We use Amplitude for this purpose.

What is collected:

• Country — derived from your IP address at the time of the event. IP address itself is not stored.
• Amplitude device ID — a random identifier generated by the Amplitude SDK and assigned to your device installation. It is not linked to your name, email, or any information you enter in the app. It resets if you uninstall and reinstall the app.
• App events — which screens are visited and which features are used. Events contain no food log contents, health conditions, or body statistics.
• Device type and OS version — to ensure compatibility.

What this data is used for:

• Understanding which features are used and which are not
• Diagnosing crashes and performance issues
• Improving the app

Legal basis (EU/GDPR): We process this data under legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our interest is maintaining and improving the Service. This data does not include health information, cannot identify you by name, and the impact on your privacy is minimal.

By using the Service, you agree to this analytics collection.

5. Cookies and Website Analytics

The iziglucose.com website may use anonymized analytics to understand traffic patterns (pages visited, referral sources). No personal data is collected. No advertising cookies are used.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Because no personal data is collected from anyone, there is no special risk to children — but if you have concerns, contact us at support@iziglucose.com.

7. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes via an in-app notice or on this page. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
